I guess it is between friends that there will be a basic respect, a line that you probably should not cross. Being good friends, all the more there are things that one should know better than to do in the first place.
When you first started in the job I was critical of it because I know very well it probably isn't the best path to take. You yourself couldn't agree further. Having said things like the job seems more like a scam, its boring, it doesn't suit you, wanting to quit from it.
However, when you started on it, I never once said anything bad about it. It is your own career path. You choose where you want to go, what you want to do. I only encouraged you saying that if you think its right, go ahead with it. Although I did mention, I don't think it would be a suitable future career for you.
I've told you my stand on the job and my stand on the service. I don't do the service with a friend basically because I am very sure of what I want and what will happen if it were a friend to be servicing. You know my attitude. I don't even consider giving it to a family member.
I pay for a service, a service which requires all-time concentration and very good service. You know fully well my attitude and expectations on any service or in fact anything at all. I will not be able to request that of a friend cos a friend is always someone that I don't want to lose.
If you think I am being uptight about something I have a stand on, then I can only say at least I am very clear of what I want and my principles on certain things. I am happy that your boyfriend is good in his job. I am as well glad that he is probably a huge influence or role model to you in your life.
So if your bf is beside you telling you 'She's just not going to understand.' I do hope that you will respect me as your friend and tell your bf to bring his business elsewhere cos I really don't think how within a short span of a few months from will you be able to go from '... all these are practically scams...' to '...let's seat ourselves down over coffee and talk about it...'
As I already mentioned, I'm really glad that he is of such great influence in your life. Like I mentioned, I will support you in your career path, if you want to go down the same lane as he does, by all means, go ahead. But please at least show me some basic respect on the principles I stand for instead of just brushing it off as me being uptight about it.
Your BFF...
